Responsibilities
- Providing technical support/expertise to the plant safety professional on facility safety initiatives when designing and/or redesigning work processes to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Providing engineering studies, designs and justifications for approval to support Operations' goals.
- Keeping historical data, to analyze and to monitor key efficiencies and parameters against design to assist Operations with troubleshooting and meeting costs and production goals.
- Keeping current in discipline, to assess new technologies and ideas, to develop, evaluate, and seek approval for new concepts to improve the efficiency and the capability of the process, the life of the facility, and the product quality.
- Supporting the response to day-to-day operational issues by coordinating within and across units and departments and providing troubleshooting support.
- Utilizing historical data to analyze and monitor key efficiencies and parameters against process design to assist with troubleshooting and deliver on cost and production goals.
- Using technical expertise and collaboration to identify improvement opportunities, developing projects and implementing them using project management best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, build consensus, and foster relationships at multiple organization levels and across different organizational functions. Is self-directed and demonstrates high level of initiative.
- Ability to successfully implement capital projects/permits and perform engineering functions in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrate completed projects meet the design objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3-8 years manufacturing experience.
Nice to have
- Project Management training and/or certification, a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification, a plus.
Compensation
- $84,400.00-$112,533.33 Annual
- This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
- As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
- Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
