About the role

  • The student will help individuals use books, reading materials, or library resources.
  • The student assists with family literacy or communication literacy-related activities.

Requirements

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at Bay Mills Community College.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the semester the paid internship/FWS will be awarded.
  • Must have attendance of 70% or higher in all classes.
  • Must be eligible for FWS funding.
  • Eligibility requirements must be met at the beginning of each semester.
  • Must have Satisfactory Academic Progress as define d in BMCC's Student Handbook:

  • This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) with an hourly wage of $14.00.
  • Duties support reading, writing, or basic academic skills.

Compensation

  • I n accordance with the Clery Act, Bay Mills Community College's Annual Security Report is available at the Receptionist's desk in the Administration Building or the Accounting Department upon request.
