About the role

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will drive cloud modernization initiatives by leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation frameworks, cloud-native services, monitoring platforms, and security best practices. The position also provides advanced technical support and participates in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, administer, and optimize cloud and infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or similar automation technologies.
- Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Implement cloud security controls and infrastructure hardening standards including IAM, endpoint protection, network security policies, and intrusion detection/prevention solutions.
- Support CI/CD pipeline integration and infrastructure deployment automation in collaboration with DevOps and application delivery teams.
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and cloud-native compute services.
- Manage enterprise networking infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN connectivity, routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, and wireless networking.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture standards, operational procedures, and technical runbooks.
- Support compliance and governance initiatives including PCI DSS, SOC 1, and SOC 2 by maintaining technical controls, configurations, and audit evidence.
- Provide Tier III infrastructure engineering support for critical production environments.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- college degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and systems administration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Must have experience working closely with users and management.
- Able to work under limited supervision and exercise independent judgment.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance best practices.
Skills
- Working technical knowledge of current systems hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience managing IP based systems consisting of multiple subnets and VLANs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
