About the role
- Reporting to our Controller, you'll be a hands-on owner of the month-end close, core accounting operations, AR/AP, billing and invoicing workflows, balance sheet reconciliations, audit readiness, and finance systems improvements.
- You'll take meaningful work off the Controller's plate while helping Numeral move from early-stage finance processes to a scalable, audit-ready accounting function.
Responsibilities
- Own key parts of the monthly close process, including the close calendar, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, flux analysis, and supporting schedules
- Partner with the Controller to improve close quality, reduce manual work by leveraging AI and automations, and move toward a faster, more predictable monthly close
- Own AR, AP, billing, invoicing, and collections workflows, ensuring transactions are accurate, timely, and well documented
- Partner with the Controller on finance systems migration and audit preparedness
- A chance to help build the accounting foundation for a company scaling quickly in a massive, complex market
Requirements
- The ideal candidate can problem solve and present solutions with minimal oversight
Nice to have
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and high-growth SaaS company experience.
- CPA license is a plus
