About the role
- As a part of the R&D Finance team, this person will be key in supporting our product and engineering leadership team.
- Your work will be highly cross-functional and strategic, and you will play a pivotal role in connecting the dots across the organization through a financial lens, in order to help ensure operational alignment and inform decision making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior business leaders to manage their departmental budgets on a regular basis, including but not limited to the company's co-founder and CTO
- Help manage significant portions of the company's spend, including but not limited to AI and GPU spend across the company.
- Work on trend, ROI, and profitability analyses on both product and customer levels to support data-driven decision making
- Work on ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives for senior management, which may include assessing potential acquisition opportunities and/or negotiations with strategic partners like cloud vendors
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience in building financial models and managing complex data
- Product training to develop an in-depth understanding of our product and space
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in FP&A / Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, and/or other related field
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
- You are a clear, concise communicator and team player with a humble mindset and 'can-do' attitude
- Experience in or understanding of a consumption-based software business model
- Proficiency in use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude)
Nice to have
- Solid understanding of Pigment is a plus, but not required
