About the role

  • Education Qualifications - Completion of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program through an accredited organization or on the job training in ultrasound that led to registry.
  • Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to organ to be examined, depth of field, and other specifications of test.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and performs department exam protocols. Explains process to patient, and instructs and assists patient in assuming physical position for examination.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and performs proper high-level disinfection processes for probe care. (If applicable)
  • Cardiac Sonographers Perform IV puncture, utilizing proper injection techniques while injecting endocardial border enhancing agents.
  • Willingly accepts various work assignments. Is accountable and responsible for own actions/decisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Required for All Jobs
  • Accurately enters required data into Lumedx (PACS) system.
  • Workspace is a quiet and distraction-free allowing the ability to comply with all security and privacy standards.

Nice to have

  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience in Ultrasound Preferred
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • ARDMS ARDMS-Sonography or CCI-Sonography or ARRT-Sonography are also accepted dependent upon department.

Skills

  • Experience utilizing imaging equipment
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • ARDMS ARDMS-Sonography or CCI-Sonography or ARRT-Sonography are also accepted dependent upon department. Required
  • Basic Life Support
  • BLS Required within 90 days of hire.

Compensation

  • Abide by Stormont Vail's Remote Worker Policy and will review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually.
