About the role

This role operates on a hybrid schedule out of our White Plains, NY office.
Prepare and review individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation and review of various reports in support of servicing clients, preparation of simple to moderately complex tax returns, as well as tax projections and tax research.
Perform tax research and planning, as needed, to solve client's tax issues
Assist with various business management tasks (such as purchase and sale of real estate, royalty allocations, prepping RMD schedules, international employment documents, etc.)

4+ years of experience with preparation and/or review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
Bachelor's degree is required
Organization skills with a high attention to detail is necessary
Capability to learn new systems and process information quickly
Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)
Thorough understanding of the bookkeeping process from start to finish

Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Senior Staff Tax Accountant, ideally entertainment business management experience, to join our team of dedicated professionals.
Master's degree, with 4+ years in a similar role is highly preferred
Experience working with entertainment and HNW individuals is highly preferred
Familiarity with CCH Axcess or Engagement is preferred
CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $90,000 - $125,000.
