Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages technicians on their shifts to provide excellent pharmacy services.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process.
  • With five decades of experience, Shepherd Center provides world-class clinical care, research, and family support for people experiencing the most complex conditions, including spinal cord and brain injuries, multi-trauma, traumatic amputations, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and pain.

Nice to have

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital and/or institutional pharmacy is preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • PharmD preferred.
  • PGY1 residency or Board Certification preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of daily hospital/institutional pharmacy operations preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrable skills in pharmacokinetics required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills necessary.
  • Some potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
