Responsibilities

  • Technician I will be relied upon for troubleshooting support for non-routine problems in the material handling system.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control components such as; photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, encoders, variable frequency drives
  • With a consistently increasing order intake of more than 1 billion euros, it has established a global reputation over the past seven decades as an exceptionally reliable partner for value-added automated material handling solutions.
  • You will play a pivotal role in our support of this state-of-the-art warehouse.

Requirements

  • Experience of supporting automated systems with a proficient level of electro- mechanical skills
  • Experience with electrical schematics / wiring diagrams
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand
  • Perform other duties / assignments that might be occasionally required by the management
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate (transmit, convey, receive) information.
  • The employee is constantly (75% or more) required to move and lift objects (stacks of totes/ trays, tools, equipment, parts, etc.) of up to 50lbs; bend/twist; stoop; stand; walk; push-pull.

Nice to have

  • Warehouse Operations experience
  • Conveyor services or material handling services experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical (motors, electrical circuits, SICK ATR systems, and other material handling equipment) and controls (Siemens) systems
  • Ability to read diagrams, electrical drawings, operation manuals and manufacturers specifications
  • Knowledge of use of hand tools, precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Flexibility with time, able to shift priorities quickly based on staff and system needs
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer and service oriented

Compensation

  • This is a full-time, nonexempt position, eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
  • The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting.
  • Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
  • The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
  • Salary range for this position is CAD$80,000 to CAD$90,000
