About the role

  • Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles Caterpillar, allied product machines, and Ag& Turf and industrial products serviced by the Service Department.
  • Attends training classes as directed and obtains passing grades.
  • Completes Service Reports in a timely manner and in accordance with HPC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general direction of the Big Island Product Support Manager, the Tech Trainee 3 primarily performs duties in the service department or at customer's location.

Requirements

  • Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
  • Measures and identifies parts and components for reusability or replacement, ordering new parts as required.
  • Travel as required within HPC established territory.
  • The Tech Trainee 3 will remain in the Trainee 3 classification for a minimum period of 1 year.
  • Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.

Skills

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Must have PC skills.
  • Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.
  • At least 1 year of experience is preferred.
  • Operates equipment and hand and power tools.
  • Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
  • Hands/arms: Operates equipment and hand and power tools.
  • Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
