About the role

  • This is a hybrid position that requires 8 days per month in the office.
  • Based on these requests, the membership offers a tailored package of expertise, technical assistance and funding.

Responsibilities

  • The NDC Partnership is a global coalition, bringing together more than 260 members, including more than 140 countries, developed and developing, and more than 110 institutions to deliver on ambitious climate action that helps achieve the Paris Agreement and drive sustainable development.
  • Governments identify their NDC implementation priorities and the type of support that is needed to translate them into actionable policies and programs.
  • This collaborative response provides developing countries with efficient access to a wide range of resources to adapt to and mitigate climate change and foster more equitable and sustainable development.
  • The work of the NDC Partnership is facilitated by a Support Unit hosted by WRI in Washington, DC and the UNFCCC secretariat and UNOPS in Bonn, Germany.

Requirements

  • Existing work authorization is required where this position is based.
  • You can be based in our office in Washington DC.
  • Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position.
  • To be eligible for this position, you must be a resident of DC, Maryland or Virginia at the start of employment.
  • You have completed a bachelor's degree in a relevant study area

Nice to have

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in website development/management, UX/UI design, artificial intelligence, data analytics or a related field
  • Experience with database management (e.g., MS Excel or similar) and knowledge of best practices for data management
  • Experience with website management and website analytics (e.g., Plausible, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills.
  • An ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects while under deadline pressure.
  • A background in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems and processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of and interest in environmental issues, including topics such as climate change, clean energy, food and agriculture, sustainable cities, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience working across cultures and geographies is a definite plus.

Skills

  • Oversee the management of the NDC Partnership Resource Library, including data input, analytics, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with relevant NDC Partnership host organization teams to ensure AI applications are compliant with host regulations and policies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

  • US salary range is between 69,000 and 82,000 USD.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
