About the role

  • The Technician must ensure that the equipment and processes are maintained at the highest level of safety, quality, efficiency, productivity.
  • The Maintenance Automation Technician is responsible for installing and repairing systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology, and techniques.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires a moderate to high degree of standing, walking, stooping, or kneeling, close eye work, reaching, pulling, or pushing.
  • Ability to distinguish color required.
  • Punctual attendance to work is required.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance program/s required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals, Safety Data Sheets, and other literature as required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required.

Nice to have

  • Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or engineering specialties or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED or basic skills assessment required.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience preferred.
