- About Synaptic Pediatric Therapies Synaptic Pediatric Therapies is a leading multidisciplinary pediatric clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, collaborative, and compassionate care for children and their families.
- Position Overview This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a skilled Pediatric Neuropsychologist to be the cornerstone of our new neuropsychology service line.
- As the sole neuropsychologist in our practice, you will have a significant impact on the integration of neuropsychological services within our care model.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full evaluation process: conducting clinical interviews, administering and scoring tests, writing integrative reports, and providing clear, thoughtful feedback to patients and families.
- Establish and manage clinical protocols and workflows for neuropsychological evaluations.
- Select, procure, and maintain a comprehensive battery of assessment tools.
- Attend classes, workshops, and presentations to maintain licensure and stay current with evidence-based practices and research.
- You will operate with clinical autonomy and strong administrative support to provide premier neuropsychology services to the community.
- Full administrative support for billing, scheduling, and credentialing.
- The clinical autonomy to lead and shape our neuropsychology services.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Texas (or license-eligible with the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire).
- A strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Required:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or a related field from an APA-accredited program.
- Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
- Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
- Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through ABPP/ABCN, or demonstrated eligibility and intent to pursue certification.
- Prior experience working in a private practice or an autonomous clinical setting.
Skills
- Serve as the clinical expert and point person for neuropsychology within the practice.
