About the role

  • In this role, you'll help shape and launch new digital care program experiences as Hinge Health expands into new condition categories and explores net-new member journeys.

  • This role can directly power how we bring new programs to life and how members experience Hinge Health as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • You'll work from ambiguous problem spaces to define what should exist, validate the opportunity, and design thoughtful end-to-end experiences that can succeed in the market.
  • Design high-quality end-to-end flows for new programs, from first concepts through launch, with strong attention to usability, clarity, and emotional experience.
  • Partner across product, engineering, clinical, data, and commercial teams to move priorities forward and build alignment without relying on formal authority.
  • Create structure in unfamiliar domains by synthesizing user needs, clinical context, business goals, and technical constraints into clear hypotheses and design decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction, Industrial, Product, or Service Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading ambiguous problem spaces and translating business goals into clear user problems, testable hypotheses, and effective product directions.

Nice to have

  • A standout and up-to-date portfolio demonstrating high-impact product work, strong craft, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience designing 0→1 products, new program launches, or other greenfield consumer experiences.
  • Comfort balancing direct user needs with business and commercial priorities, and making thoughtful tradeoffs across both.
  • Experience working across complex service journeys that involve multiple stakeholders, workflows, or care touchpoints.
  • Strong facilitation and storytelling skills that help teams align on decisions, principles, and next steps.
  • The San Francisco office is also dog-friendly.
