  • With a major city-wide shortage of qualified special education professionals, your expertise is critically needed to ensure students receive the personalized instruction they require.
  • This provides the chance to engage directly with students who need specialized academic assistance, helping them reach their educational goals through focused intervention and evidence-based instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure fulfillment of each student's weekly IESP mandates and maintain an intervention schedule coordinated with the school timetable.
  • Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular family communication with updates on progress and next steps.
  • Document service delivery and student performance in Knowledge Road's system with precise and timely documentation.
  • Create and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each individual student.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics and ELA.
  • NYC DOE fingerprinting clearance required, or willingness to obtain prior to start.

Compensation

  • $60 - $100 per hour (1099). Rate varies by group size and assignment. Individual IESP sessions typically begin at $60/hr.
