Reports to the Senior Project Manager, Engineering Services, Design, under the general supervision of the Project Manager.
The Design Technologist is responsible to provide detail design services for municipal infrastructure projects including road, streetscaping, watermain, sanitary and storm sewer, combined sewer, overflow tanks, Bridges and Roundabouts to be implemented in approved Capital Projects.
The Design Technologist shall ensure that design of Municipal Infrastructure projects are delivered in accordance with City and Provincial guidelines in a cost effective, efficient and timely manner.
In addition, The Design Technologist will assist with investigating and recommending new procedures for improving the section's technical performance.
Be advised that Human Resources frequently audits resumes of internal/external applicants to ensure/validate information provided is consistent and trustworthy.
