About the role
- Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as part of multiple integrated product teams.
- Prepare detailed product manufacturing documentation such as test procedures and assembly instructions
Responsibilities
- In some cases, will be lead mechanical engineer on a team, while in others, will be in a support and/or advisory role
- Perform hands-on design and analysis, and mentor junior engineers
- Prepare and present design and analysis material during internal and customer design reviews
- Support component and antenna system level environmental testing
- Support business development activities by providing input for proposals
- Advanced capability in the design and analysis of positioner drive systems.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance in Support of US Government contracts/subcontracts
- Must have excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form
- 10+ years of experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering and product design and development
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- While performing duties of this position, employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and/or bend
- May be required to sit for extended lengths of time
- Must be able to work in an environment that may be subjected to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials, chemicals and, electromagnetic energy
Nice to have
- Experience with precision positioners and the design or selection of bearings is preferred
Skills
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Advanced capability in designing for producibility, reliability, and ease of assembly and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques such as machining, forming, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of fasteners, adhesives, coatings, and related industry specifications
- Solid modeling, engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Experience with Creo is preferred
- Well versed in configuration management
- Technically proficient in MS Office products
- MS preferred

Compensation
- Salary Range $140,000 - $180,000
