About the role
- This is a full-time role based in Dallas, Texas.
- Sixth Street has an immediate opening for a bright, hard-working individual to join our Portfolio Accounting - Insurance team in Dallas.
- This team is focused on supporting accounting and reporting activities across our Insurance SMAs investing in private and liquid investments across various sectors (Asset Based Finance, Structured Credit, Infrastructure, Energy etc).
Responsibilities
- we build businesses, invest for growth, acquire assets, provide direct financing, identify value in public markets, purchase royalty streams, and regularly develop first-of-their-kind structures to meet the strategic objectives of management teams.
- Manage all accounting responsibilities and work with the Operations and Offshore accounting teams to support, record and reconcile investing and related cash activities
Requirements
- Candidate must be self-motivated and willing to work in a team environment
- Candidate must have attention to detail and be focused on multiple demands and deliverables

Nice to have
- Liaison with investment professionals on structuring, cash movements and investment performance
- Assist with preparing complex waterfall and management fee calculations in accordance with Investment Management Agreements (IMAs)
- Assist with expense reporting and analysis
- Assist with quarterly valuation process
- Assist with the production of daily, monthly and quarterly reporting that is distributed to all Investors, Investment Professionals and Management.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects, both operating and financial, and compile a variety of special reports
- Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices
- Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive
Skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong accounting and excel skills; professional certification (CPA or equivalent)
