About the role
- We are seeking a professional with deep expertise in data-driven occupational exposure analysis and best safety practices in chemical research and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Support and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
- Perform hazard and exposure analysis via exposure monitoring, sampling and data modeling to inform risk management controls.
- Lead or support incident investigations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and track corrective actions to closure.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Safety Team.
- This role will join the safety team to support our ongoing initiative to cultivate a robust safety culture within a dynamic startup environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in chemical safety or industrial hygiene, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-hazard chemical manufacturing or industrial gas setting.
- Certification in Industrial Hygienist (CIH) required.
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Expertise in evidence-based data-driven methods for exposure analysis in industrial settings.
- Expertise and demonstrated experience in OSHA process safety management (29 CFR 1910.119).
- Expertise in OSHA Chemical Hygiene requirements (29 CFR 1910.1450).
- Familiarity with OSHA Laboratory Safety requirements (29 CFR 1910.1450).
- Familiarity with DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation (49 CFR 100-185 and HM-181 training).
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E guidelines
- certification is a plus.

- $105k-$125k
