About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and support patients throughout each stage of recovery.

Requirements

  • One of the following is required:
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program with the ability to obtain a Montana Occupational Therapist license within thirty (30) days of hire.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, treatment techniques, materials, equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, kindness, and empathy when working with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software and clinical documentation systems as needed.
  • Current Montana Occupational Therapist license
  • Additional requirements include:
  • RQI Provider certification in Basic Life Support within seven (7) days of hire or transfer, or before providing independent patient care, whichever occurs first.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, tact, and discretion.

Nice to have

  • Certified Hand Therapist certification.
  • Experience providing hand therapy and upper-extremity rehabilitation.
  • Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting.
  • Job-Specific Duties
  • Provides occupational therapy treatment for patients with hand, upper-extremity, and orthopedic conditions.
  • Completes timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and Montana occupational therapy practice requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, peers, students, providers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding occupational therapy services and patient progress.
  • Meets established productivity and quality standards in accordance with departmental expectations.

  • Logan Health Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an Occupational Therapist with experience in hand therapy and upper-extremity rehabilitation to join our fast-paced outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation team.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with orthopedic surgeons and an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team while providing individualized, evidence-based care throughout every stage of recovery.
