The Senior Laboratory Coordinator will develop, validate, and apply UHPLC-MS/MS-based assays for quantitation of drugs, drug metabolites, and other small molecules in research samples collected from patients in clinical trials.
In addition, maintain records for sample tracking in the lab and perform calibrations and minor maintenance on instruments and equipment.

Experience with basic laboratory skills -calibration and use of balances, pipettors, centrifuges, sample evaporators.
Experience performing, interpreting, and reporting results from quantitative analytical methods.
Utilize proven proficiency in basic laboratory skills - calibration and use of balances, pipettors, centrifuges, sample evaporators.

Work Experience:
Experience with mass spectrometry.
Experience with sample preparation techniques (protein precipitation, solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction).
Experience with quantitative UHPLC-MS/MS procedures.
Experience in a regulated laboratory (GLP or equivalent).
Laboratory experience supporting clinical trials.

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking.
A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding.
At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
