Responsibilities
- The Senior Laboratory Coordinator will develop, validate, and apply UHPLC-MS/MS-based assays for quantitation of drugs, drug metabolites, and other small molecules in research samples collected from patients in clinical trials.
- In addition, maintain records for sample tracking in the lab and perform calibrations and minor maintenance on instruments and equipment.
Requirements
- Experience with basic laboratory skills -calibration and use of balances, pipettors, centrifuges, sample evaporators.
- Experience performing, interpreting, and reporting results from quantitative analytical methods.
- Utilize proven proficiency in basic laboratory skills - calibration and use of balances, pipettors, centrifuges, sample evaporators.
Nice to have
- Work Experience:
- Experience with mass spectrometry.
- Experience with sample preparation techniques (protein precipitation, solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extraction).
- Experience with quantitative UHPLC-MS/MS procedures.
- Experience in a regulated laboratory (GLP or equivalent).
- Laboratory experience supporting clinical trials.

Compensation
- The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking.
- A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding.
- At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
