About the role

  • Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama is seeking applicants for a full-time, fixed-term Lighting Technician.
  • The position will begin in late August 2024, and end 31 May 2025.
  • This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in a creative and fast-paced work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience as head lighting technician on at least three theatrical productions
  • Knowledge of and experience in maintaining entertainment lighting equipment, including automated lighting fixtures
  • Experience with electrical wiring and soldering techniques
  • Two years' experience as a lighting technician in the entertainment industry
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Nice to have

  • Experience programming theatrical lighting control consoles (ETC Eos Family preferred)
