About the role

  • The position will serve as an active member of the Office of the Provost and will provide administrative assistance to various Vice Provosts and the Provost's Chief of Staff.
  • The position will assist with office management, oversee the continuity of Office of the Provost purchasing, coordinate and schedule meetings and trainings, and serve on behalf of the office for events and activities.
  • This is an opportunity for someone with a ready and willing attitude to play a role in exciting new projects while learning about the entire university system.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and prioritize various Vice Provosts and Chief of Staff's calendars
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and trainings, prepare correspondence, communication, and reports, create, and distribute agendas, minutes and supporting documentation
  • Researches, assembles and develops various presentations, projects and reports for the Vice Provosts
  • Coordinate departmental communication initiatives; responsible for the timeliness of cyclical communications; create and send communications for the unit
  • Coordinate logistical needs; organize, schedule, coordinate, ensure compliance with policies, collaborate with other departments (facilities, IT, police, etc.)
  • Mountain EAP supports employees (and eligible dependents) through life's difficult moments. Mountain EAP is located in Reno and specializes in counseling and advising services for personal or interpersonal issues.

Compensation

  • In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step.
