About the role
- This role is responsible for managing inventory, logistics, and outbound shipping while optimizing material flow across a multi-product, multi-modal environment.
- This is a full-time, onsite role located in Rochelle, IL.

Responsibilities
- Travel up to 25% to support Midwest distribution Centers.
- Drive on-time delivery performance, dock utilization, and yard efficiency to support production and customer schedules.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation processes, and inventory control best practices.
- Collaborate with production planning, logistics, and sales to optimize loading strategies and transportation methods.
- Maintain compliance with environmental, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as lean practices, 5S, and process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Partner with IT and operations teams to implement systems that enhance visibility into inventory and shipping activity.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, operators, and logistics personnel across multiple shifts.
- Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and drive accountability for safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing or heavy-industrial environments.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in a plant-level or senior operational role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, and inventory control processes.
- Experience coordinating multi-modal transportation including rail, truckload, and intermodal shipping.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in steel, pipe, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
Compensation
