About the role

- Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Material Handler for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX.
- This position plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth facility operations and ensuring materials are available when needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain organized storage areas and implement proper rack numbering systems
- Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records
- Maintain cleanliness standards through 5S practices, including removal of empty pallets and waste management
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Drug screening required
- Background check required
- Must be in good standing with no disciplinary action or attendance issues (Associates in Written or higher stage of counseling are not eligible to apply)
- Must have performer or higher rating in last review
- Perform daily safety inspections of lift equipment and complete required documentation
- Complete all required safety documentation, checklists, and logs
Nice to have
- Forklift experience required
- Experien c e in manufacturing or warehous ing environment a plus
Skills
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain forklift certification)
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to read and understand production schedules
- Mathematical skills for inventory counting
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems
- Understanding of safety protocols
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Basic problem-solving skills
