  • Job Description: Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Mechanic at the Prince George's County Organics Composting Facility (OCF) located in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Responsibilities

  • This position performs installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment used to support facility operations and a variety of environmental projects.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
  • Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to have

  • Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate plus three years of experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.

Compensation

  • $50,233.92 - $69,070.88
  • Eleven paid holidays per year
