About the role

  • Distribution: Provide strategic oversight of outsourced Distribution Center operations to ensure alignment with supply chain objectives and service expectations.
  • Monitor provider performance through KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, audits, and business reviews to ensure achievement of service, inventory, safety, and financial targets.
  • Communicate Distribution Center performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to Supply Chain leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and implement business processes related to supply chain analysis and decision support Support the development of budgets, long-range, and strategic plan business models by providing data to understand operational drivers.
  • Develops goals and objectives aligned with the strategy, manages execution of initiatives and delivers value to the organization.
  • Leads operational efforts through subordinates to complete the administration of business processes and services to ensure the operations' effective achievement of goals within the assigned business unit(s).
  • Utilizes techniques in alignment with the company mission and core values as a means to implement positive change.
  • Collaborates with employees in the establishment of clear and concise development plans to ensure succession planning and the advancement of future leaders within the organization.
  • Provide strategic leadership of short- and long-term goals through the use of thoughtful techniques in the communication of the company's mission and core values as a means to implement positive change and/or create organizational structure within the assigned business unit(s).
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and hold partners accountable for contractual, operational, quality, and compliance performance.
  • Identify and support delivery with 3PL partners on operational improvement including cost, quality and service performance (can be wordsmithed).
  • Lead issue resolution, escalation management, and continuous improvement initiatives with third-party providers.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support contract management, network optimization, and business growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Travel up to 50% may be required

Nice to have

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Skills

  • Minimum 12+ years related experience Minimum 7-10 years of experience at a manager or above level.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage one or more departments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in taking initiative, collaborating effectively, and possessing a determined mindset to achieve goals.
  • Strong "sense of urgency" and perseverance in pursuit of goals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Extensive budgeting experience.
  • Direct distribution operations experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
