About the role
- You will be responsible for setting strategic vision, prioritization decisions, technical execution, and team leadership.
- This role will report directly to our CTO.
- This improves quality of care, reduces physician burden, and improves hospital finances.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support teams of AI-empowered engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Lead development and delivery of product features, collaborating closely with product and design partners to drive user satisfaction and product adoption
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to system design, balancing long-term scalability with near-term delivery
- Support the team in maintaining production reliability and performance, including participation in on-call rotations
- Drive execution of complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and clinical subject matter experts to ensure smooth coordination and communication

- As the Senior Engineering Manager of the Clinical Platform team at Regard, you will manage, lead, and grow squads of Software Engineers.
- You will play a core role, collaborating across engineering and product to lead the development of key features within our provider-facing product.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience as an individual contributor (primarily backend or full stack)
- 4+ years spent leading teams of 5 or more engineers
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python or Go
- Experience with AI coding tools and AI agents
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, ArgoCD, Datadog, Sentry)
- Experience working in a dynamic startup and/or high-growth environments
Nice to have
- For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the New York City metropolitan area
- Our expectation for this role is to be in the office 3 days per week.

Compensation
- Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year
