About the role

Responsibilities

  • Be ridiculously collaborative: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Design, R&D, software engineering, and operations, to design and deliver innovative digital products.
  • Be ready to drive alignment with many competing stakeholders.
  • Manage (a lot of )relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external partners, presenting solutions that align with broader business goals. Be a natural relationship builder and clear communicator.
  • Drive technical excellence: Build relationships with software engineering to ensure scalable, efficient, and secure delivery. Leverage expertise in system architecture, APIs, and data integration to support technical decisions.
  • Specifically, you will help design, build, and ship Scout's first vehicle configurator and checkout experience.
  • You will support our direct-to-consumer sales and delivery model with world-class digital UX, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, though demonstrated experience in building real-world products is far more critical.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise-level systems such as CRM, ERP, or service management platforms.

Nice to have

  • Automotive experience, specifically with DTC brands, is a plus but not required.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Data-driven decision-making abilities and experience with tools for analytics and performance measurement.
