About the role
- We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer who's ready to dive into the world of marine and industrial power systems.
- If you enjoy solving real-world problems, working with your hands, and being the go-to expert when things need fixing or fine-tuning, this might be the role for you.
- You'll be installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining everything from motors and switchgear to PLCs and control systems aboard large ocean-going vessels while they're in port.

Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree or a combination of a relevant certificates, Associate or Technical degree and 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate machinery and repair equipment, with the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and lift at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to read Schematics.
- Proficiency in installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Must be an avid user of computer software including Microsoft Office.
- Regular local travel with occasional international trips as required.
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate machinery and repair equipment, with the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and lift at least 40 pounds. Should be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Electrical/Mechanical aptitude, advanced skills in one or more of the following areas a plus: software, electronics, low and high voltage electrical, mechanical and propulsion systems, automation, PLC programming, Ethernet network/Serial communication.
- Ability to write reports, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to collaborate with clients and ensure timely service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working Conditions
- Working conditions are marine/industrial environments which require the use of company uniform and safety equipment, to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe work boots, hardhat and safety vests.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of low voltage and line voltage AC and DC systems and relays, high voltage experience including terminations a plus.
- Basic hydraulic and machine repair knowledge a plus.
