About the role
- This role focuses on managing, analyzing, and optimizing telecom expenses, including wireless, voice, data, and related IT services such as cloud-based communications.
- The consultant will work with large datasets, vendor invoices, and financial reports to identify cost-saving opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure accurate billing and asset management.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed invoice audits to identify overcharges, discrepancies, and unused services across telecom carriers.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline telecom expense management workflows.
- Support vendor management activities, including invoice validation, payment tracking, and contract analysis.
- Perform high-volume data validation across large telecom inventories, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to support telecom expense management initiatives.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in data analytics, financial analysis, telecom expense auditing, and reporting, along with the ability to communicate complex insights to leadership and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience in Telecom Expense Management (TEM) including auditing telecom invoices managing wireless & wired services and optimizing telecom spend.
- Strong expertise in data analytics and financial analysis, with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas), databases, and reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience working with ServiceNow and PeopleSoft for reporting, asset tracking, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with SQL and data querying techniques.
- Proven ability to analyze large-scale data reports, financial systems, and telecom usage datasets.
Compensation
- $75k-$95k
