About the role

- The Robotics Reliability Engineering (RRE) team at Nuro focuses on fleet reliability as our AV capabilities and operating footprint grow.

- As a Software Reliability Engineer at Nuro, you will help design, build, and operate systems that support our autonomous vehicle platform and fleet operations.
- You will work across the full development lifecycle, from early design and deployment through operations and continuous improvement.
- Build fleet-scale pipelines that turn noisy onboard signals into actionable, high-confidence investigations.
- Develop automated triage and correlation systems that deduplicate issues, route them to the right owning teams, and attach up-to-date priority signals and diagnostic context.
- Partner with engineering teams and subject matter experts to turn investigation outcomes into better instrumentation, automation, and signal quality over time.
- Experience applying reliability metrics and operational feedback loops to drive improvements.

Compensation
- At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package.
- For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $145,830 and $219,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped.
- In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.

- This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
