About the role
- The Chaplain provides direct care to patients and families, crisis/trauma support, death and dying support, advance directive education, cultural/spiritual/values/beliefs assessments as part of the interdisciplinary team of caregivers, ministerial functions, and spiritual counseling where patients, families, and staff are facing critical and stressful situations and/or personal adjustment to illness.
- The Chaplain collaborates with all members of Bozeman Health to provide excellence in patient spiritual care and emotional support.
Responsibilities
- Provide support at time of death for patients and families
- Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with ministerial functions and spiritual counseling
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work varied shifts
- On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
