Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively in Japanese and English with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, and other stakeholders regarding case documents, case status, and procedural requirements
- Independently analyze case documents and prepare business immigration applications for attorney review and submission
- Assist with review of Japanese-language documents and communications, as needed
- The Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Japanese-speaking Immigration Paralegal to support our growing Immigration and Global Mobility Services practice.
- This role is ideal for a paralegal interested in handling business immigration matters and providing day-to-day case support, with a particular focus on serving Japanese-speaking clients.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while handling a high volume of cases
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse professionals.
Nice to have
- Experience with other types of immigration matters is a plus
