Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and accurately completes a variety of structural engineering assignments such as mark up drawings for the production Autodesk Revit/BIM, specifications via SpecsIntact, calculations and other design deliverables suitable for procurement and construction purposes under the direction of a Lead Structural Engineer.
  • Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, and designs.
  • Interfaces with other Engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated design products and with other departments to support procurement and construction activities.
  • Prepares engineering responses to Requests for Information and may work directly with construction teams to resolve issues and/or revise design products during construction.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Experience in structural design on US Government projects, including substructures, above-grade concrete structures, steel framing design, connection detailing, engineering services during construction.
  • In this role you will get to produce structural design deliverables including drawings, calculations, and specifications that comply with applicable codes and standards and contract requirements.

Requirements

  • What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with courses focus in Structural Engineering, and typically 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Master Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.

Skills

  • Proficiency in utilizing Autodesk Revit and other PC software packages typically associated with structural engineering is required.
  • Familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • A knowledge of current technology and AI application, being able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
  • Master degree in Structural Engineering
  • Engineering services during construction

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $35.96 - $62.93
