About the role
- This role will cover our backend, frontend, desktop apps, mobile SDKs, and data platform.
- The perfect candidate will see themselves as a generalist who is ultimately motivated by driving impact to products and customers through QA systems.
- Most of our engineering team are former technical co-founders or former Radar interns from schools like Waterloo and CMU.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the Platform and SRE roadmaps to support test automation, parallelization, and general infrastructure and devex improvements for the engineering team.
- Have experience building QA automation infrastructure at scale across mobile, backend, desktop and frontend.
- This is a meaningful ownership stake in the company we provide to our employees as we build a category-defining company.
Requirements
- Leverage SaaS QA products where useful, with a strong understanding of build-vs-buy.
Nice to have
- Are a former technical co-founder or otherwise thrive in startup environments
Skills
- Our mobile stack includes Kotlin, Objective-C, and Swift.
- Our desktop apps are written in Swift and C#.
- The frontend is React and Next.js deployed to Vercel.
- The API layer is a Node.js TypeScript app.
- Everything is deployed to AWS via Kubernetes on EKS using Terraform.
- Engineers choose what AI tools they use, Claude and Codex being the most popular.
- There is a range of how much engineers use AI. Most use it daily if not weekly.
- Demonstrate strong expertise with coding and infrastructure tools.
Compensation
- For candidates based in the United States, the base salary range for this full-time position is between $175,000 - $225,000/year with an opportunity for performance bonuses and incentives.
- In addition to cash compensation, Radar offers full-time employees stock option grants under its equity plan.
