About the role
- 6B is a 23-bed post interventional telemetry unit.
- Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoral sheaths, and Tikosyn administration.
- Medical and post-procedural patients are cared for on this unit in addition to complex GI Oncology surgical post-op patients and inpatients needing chemotherapy and telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.
- Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support
Requirements
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
Nice to have
- telemetry experience preferred
