About the role
- This position plays a key role in ensuring tooling is properly assembled, calibrated, and ready for use while supporting continuous improvement and troubleshooting efforts throughout the mill.
- This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience in manufacturing mill setups.
Responsibilities
- Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Order tooling and saw blades to support production requirements
- Calibrate mill stands and alignment to maintain production accuracy
- Customize tooling to support efficient and effective operations
- Perform daily lift truck inspections and report defects or irregularities
- Support production teams with tooling-related troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing mill setup experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and tooling as required
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED, preferred
