About the role

  • We are seeking a Senior Accountant to help assist with our month-end close process and manage complex general ledger accounting functions.
  • This role is focused primarily on technical accounting, with additional operational support responsibilities.
  • The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with GL reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial close processes, along with exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform GL, balance sheet, intercompany, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
  • Manage lease accounting entries (ASC 842 or similar)
  • Prepare and maintain accrual schedules and supporting documentation
  • Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance requirements
  • OPERATIONAL SUPPORT (25%)
  • Support AP processes, including invoice and credit card expense review
  • Document and improve accounting processes and procedures

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience
  • Strong experience with:
  • Experience working in fast-paced or growing organizations

Nice to have

  • Fintech or mortgage lending experience
  • Big 4 audit or accounting background
  • Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite, LoanVision, Ramp, FloQast, or similar)
  • Process improvement or accounting system implementation experience

Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Workday, or similar
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with GL reconciliation tools preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly organized and methodical approach
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Honest and transparent approach to experience and capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
