About the role
- We are seeking a Senior Accountant to help assist with our month-end close process and manage complex general ledger accounting functions.
- This role is focused primarily on technical accounting, with additional operational support responsibilities.
- The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with GL reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial close processes, along with exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform GL, balance sheet, intercompany, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset schedules, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Manage lease accounting entries (ASC 842 or similar)
- Prepare and maintain accrual schedules and supporting documentation
- Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance requirements
- OPERATIONAL SUPPORT (25%)
- Support AP processes, including invoice and credit card expense review
- Document and improve accounting processes and procedures
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience
- Strong experience with:
- Experience working in fast-paced or growing organizations
Nice to have
- Fintech or mortgage lending experience
- Big 4 audit or accounting background
- Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite, LoanVision, Ramp, FloQast, or similar)
- Process improvement or accounting system implementation experience
Skills
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Workday, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with GL reconciliation tools preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized and methodical approach
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Honest and transparent approach to experience and capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
