About the role

  • The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care.
  • The PTA assists patients in improving mobility, reducing pain, restoring function, and achieving their rehabilitation goals while ensuring a safe and positive care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other prescribed interventions.
  • Help patients restore function and maintain optimal physical performance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Support positive patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain compliance with professional standards and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of PTA experience in an acute care setting.
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned service areas.
  • Maintain active PTA licensure and required certifications.
  • Required
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of employment.
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Preferred
  • Previous home health or home care experience.
