- Primary Location: QUEENS COLLEGE Bargaining Unit: No Queens College is seeking responsible, attentive lifeguards to oversee pool activities in a collegiate aquatics setting.
Responsibilities
- This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, maintain focused attention, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- The lifeguard will assist with opening and closing procedures, maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and equipment areas, and communicate clearly with supervisors, event coordinators, and facility staff to ensure smooth operations during rentals and special events.
- The lifeguard will maintain constant surveillance of the pool area, enforce all safety rules and facility policies, and respond promptly and effectively to emergencies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, 1 year of college experience
- Applicants must be dependable, punctual, and capable of working evenings and weekends as required by the rental and programming schedule.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in a collegiate, municipal, or high-traffic aquatic facility is preferred.
