About the role
- This position requires high collaboration with the Associate Dean for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Vice Dean for Research, and Department Coordinator for OGPDS, and the Postdoc Services Manager in the Office of Research & Innovation.
- This position will report to the Vice Dean for Research in the SOM.

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive programs and services, including workshops, seminars, career events, career counseling, mentoring, and individualized development plans (IDPs).
- Implement strategies to expand and improve professional development, social experience, and the personal well-being of graduate and postdoctoral trainees.
Requirements

Nice to have
- At least 3 years of postdoctoral training.
- Demonstrated leadership and 8-12 years administrative/ program management experience in student affairs/services and project management.
- Working knowledge of best practices for graduate student & postdoctoral fellows career development as set by AAMC GREAT group and the NPA.
- Experience identifying institutional risks and resolving conflict.
- Familiarity with the challenges and needs of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
- Strong oral and written skills.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to prioritize, coordinate and direct multiple programs, operations, and services.
Skills
- Advise and mentor trainees on career options and how to successfully complete training, and prepare for career transitions.
- Generate trainee highlights to promote graduate students and postdocs at the SOM.
- Manage a travel award program.
- Oversee current content on website and social media.
- Serve as Course Director for the Responsible Conduct of Research course.
