About the role
- Job Description: The Medical Scheduler is an individual who assists the staff and physician by scheduling patients for appropriate follow up appointments and necessary tests and procedures.
- The Scheduler functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities that commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated competencies.
- Direct patient interaction is provided to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
Nice to have
- Two (2) years of scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic (preferred)
