About the role

  • Title: Surgical Assistant Hours: Various Monday - Friday hours.
  • The Surgical Assistant is responsible for ensuring the compassionate, effective, and efficient delivery of high-quality clinical care for patients while practicing and providing safety in the work environment.
  • The ideal candidate will assist oral surgeons during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive, pleasant, and professional relationships between patients, staff members, and surgeons
  • Support efforts that provide a clean and professional environment for all patients, including, but not limited to, ensuring that operatories are clean, supplies are adequate, equipment is maintained, and compliance with all company policies is maintained
  • Monitor patient's vital signs during surgical procedures and provide support as needed
  • Document patient encounters and surgical procedures accurately
  • Support monthly office checks:
  • Some travel as needed for training and to perform job functions

Requirements

  • Basic life support certification required.
  • Overtime is sometimes required as needed to perform job functions
  • Safety procedures required, including protection to minimize the risks from X-rays

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred)
  • Previous clinical experience.

  • Various Monday - Friday hours.
  • No evenings or weekends!
