Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and CAD development of custom generator sets, enclosures, and related system components
- Own and manage engineering projects from initial requirements through design release and production support
- Develop and maintain detailed parametric models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Creo
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to CAD designers and support global engineering resources
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Application Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure alignment and successful project execution
- Ensure designs meet standards for performance, quality, and manufacturability
- Evaluate materials, components, and design approaches to optimize product performance and cost
- Identify technical risks and implement effective, data-driven solutions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes and custom product development
- The Design Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of custom, engineered-to-order generator systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Creo for 3D CAD modeling and design
- Minimum of 2 years of experience designing industrial or engineered-to-order products
