Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and accurately completes a variety of mechanical engineering assignments such as preparation of 3D models and drawings in Autodesk Revit, specifications via SpecsIntact, calculations and other design deliverables suitable for procurement and construction purposes under the direction of a Lead Mechanical Engineer.
  • Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings and 3D building models.
  • Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
  • Interfaces with other Engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated design products and with other departments to support procurement and construction activities.
  • Prepares engineering responses to Requests for Information and may work directly with construction teams to resolve issues and/or revise design products during construction.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Experience in mechanical design on US Government projects, including in air conditioning, ventilation, domestic water supply, sanitary sewage, compressed air systems, and gas/fuel storage and distribution systems.

Requirements

  • What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and typically 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Autodesk Revit and other PC software packages typically associated with electrical engineering is required.
  • Familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • A knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.

Compensation

  • $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
