About the role
- Job Description Montgomery College, Central Services Campus, has an immediate need for a FT Director, Infrastructure and Network Engineering in the Office of Information Technology.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, coach and develop managers and staff.
- Oversee the improvement of service performance, scalability and reliability by optimizing IT infrastructure, tools, support practices and integration protocols.
- Oversee and facilitate the research, evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, and design of standard configurations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five years of experience supervising or leading professional staff.
- Lead multiple, complex projects to achieve results within required deadlines, functionality, performance, quality and budget.
- Successful completion of a background check and degree verification (if applicable).
Skills
- The work schedule is 5 days/40 hours a week.
- This is a Non-Bargaining, Exempt, grade 39 position.
- This position is eligible for telework 1 day a week after six months of employment.
- This eligibility is subject to change based on the needs of the unit.
Compensation
- $131,751-$181,143 annually.
- The maximum salary for this position is $230,535 annually.

- Collaborate with the VP/CIO, peers, and team to develop a vision and direction for long-range planning of the enterprise systems.
- Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity.
- Participation in a Maryland State Retirement System plan (Pension or Optional Retirement Plan, depending on the position).
- If you are already retired from the Maryland State Retirement System, you may not enroll in a Maryland State Retirement System plan at Montgomery College and may have earn ings restrictions, per state law.
- For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.
