About the role

  • Our specialties include cybersecurity, cloud modernization, software development, data analytics, enterprise architecture, enterprise IT, analytics, process automation, and artificial intelligence.
  • All work is performed at the Contractor's facility.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement accessible, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for OAA applications and platforms.
  • Create user-centered designs using Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files.
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate designs within the.NET Core C# and Power Platform environment.
  • Create additional website graphics as needed using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other graphic design tools.
  • Ensure all designs meet Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA compliance requirements.
  • Maintain visual consistency and design standards across the OAA application portfolio.
  • Support wireframing, site diagrams, and site maps in coordination with the Business Analyst.
  • DMC personnel support both day-to-day operations and strategic modernization initiatives in alignment with VA policies, VAEC standards, and Government-approved governance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • No equivalencies or substitutions for the degree requirement will be accepted.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience as a graphic designer focusing on user-centered design and accessibility.
  • Proficiency in Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Ability to work effectively on a part-time, task-based level of effort.
  • Must have resided continuously in the United States for the past 36 months.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience designing within Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps) and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or large enterprise environments.

Compensation

  • $48,678.70 - $66,000 USD
  • 9th Way Insignia's range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
  • Manage assigned work within an annual level of effort not to exceed 250 hours.
