About the role

  • As a Commercial Counsel on Temporal's Legal team, you'll work on a diverse mix of customer, procurement, and other commercial contracts while serving as a trusted legal partner to cross-functional teams. You'll build and maintain direct relationships with key stakeholders and have the opportunity to help build a scalable legal function, directly impacting the company.
  • Reporting to the Director of Commercial Legal, you'll help build and maintain our commercial legal infrastructure, including contract templates, playbooks, and processes to support Temporal's current and next stage of growth.
  • As a Commercial Counsel on Temporal's Legal team, you'll work on a diverse mix of customer, procurement, and other commercial contracts while serving as a trusted legal partner to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support our commercial contracting efforts for both the sell-side and buy-side by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements such as MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
  • Partner closely with Sales and our GTM teams as a trusted advisor, providing clear, solution-oriented legal guidance that helps accelerate business objectives.
  • Support partner and reseller-related agreements, including reseller or channel relationships, marketplace arrangements, and strategic collaborations.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a drive to solve emerging challenges in an evolving environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with contracts management systems (Ironclad preferred) and AI-powered contract tools.
  • Privacy experience is a plus.
