About the role
- Multimedia Producer KTXL-FOX40 in Sacramento is seeking a motivated, self-starting team player to join our newsroom in a dynamic, multi-faceted role.
- This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to expand their skills across multiple areas of news operations.
- The ideal candidate will have experience producing television newscasts, outstanding communication and organizational skills, and a passion for local news.
Requirements
- The ability to produce a newscast for broadcast and our CTV app
Skills
- Knowledge of newsroom software
- Knowledge of web posting software
- Strong research skills, including online research using various search engines
- Ability to stay current with national and local news/weather
- Knowledge of engaging on social media
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Demonstrate leadership through training and mentoring less experienced staff members; guide others to get the desired outcome
- Ability to remain positive and foster a positive work environment, work well with co-workers
- Edit video and audio on industry standard equipment
- Build graphics and use effectively in shows
- Handle and adjust to last-minute changes
Compensation
- Compensation - $24.00+/hr commensurate with experience and skill level.
